Aluminum alloy die casting includes die casting products made from aluminum, magnesium, and zinc alloy series, widely used in industries such as automotive, telecommunications, motorcycles, and household appliances. Aluminum alloy die casting release agents are essential additives used in the production process. Due to the differences in the size and volume of the products, the complexity of their structures, and the varying requirements for post-processing, the requirements for release agents also differ.
The zinc alloy material is heated and melted (aluminum melting point is 660.4°C), then injected into the mold cavity at high pressure while in a liquid state, and the mold is opened shortly after. To ensure the smooth demolding of the product, a release agent must be sprayed on the surface of the mold cavity before injection.
Aluminum alloy die-casting release agents must meet the following requirements:
1. Oil. As an effective material for metal separation, silicone oil is an ideal choice. This silicone oil must have high-temperature resistance and not affect post-processing properties (such as coating of aluminum products).
2. Water-based. Since the mold is in a high-temperature state, any solvent-based release agent is unsuitable. Using water as a dispersing medium, in a high-temperature environment, the moisture quickly evaporates, allowing the release active materials to be evenly distributed on the mold cavity surface. It forms a uniform film, has strong adhesion, withstands high-temperature washing, and has good release performance.
3. Emulsion. Choose a suitable emulsifier to emulsify silicone oil to prevent carbonization at high temperatures, thus keeping the product and mold cavity surface clean.
4. There is no corrosion on castings and mold equipment. The edges of casting products are clear, and the surface is smooth and free of marks, not affecting the coating. The volatiles are smoke-free, non-toxic, do not pollute the environment, and do not harm the health of operators.
